Jeremy Cowart at NSAG
Saturday night was the opening for Jeremy Cowart's show 12 Children at Nashville's Smallest Art Gallery. We usually don't put a lot of focus on the actual "openings" as the gallery is open to the public 24/7. The running joke is that openings at NSAG consist of a lot of "awkward standing around on the sidewalk". While the current show had a bit of that, by nightfall it had turned into an impromptu sidewalk party. One of the best parts about the gallery is watching people's faces as they approach. Usually they are utterly confused. Most people ask "where the gallery?". One person asked me if I was waiting in line to go upstairs to see the gallery.
Jeremy's artwork turned out great (and even better in person, imho) and it was definitely a very good time. I'm hoping this turnout will be a trend for future shows*.

*Note to self: have Jeremy invite all of his Facebook friends to every opening.
